Partner Organisations
The Society for the Study of Christian Ethics has links with societies in mainland Europe and the U. S.
Societas Ethica was founded in 1964 in Basle, Switzerland and now has 270 members from over 20 countries. It holds an annual conference, which in 2005 is devoted to the topic of 'Research and Responsibility' and meets 24th-28th August. Societas Ethica also publishes a journal, Ethical Theory and Moral Practice. In 2006, Societas Ethica will be holding a joint conference with the SSCE (see Conferences for details).
The Society of Christian Ethics is based in the US. It aims is to promote scholarly work in Christian ethics and in the relation of Christian ethics to other traditions of ethics. Each year the Society meets in January to present and discuss scholarly papers, review published works in the field, and conduct official business.
